First or second Rave? I WAS THERE!!! Sorry, good memories- they were both -amazing- dances, and I honestly have to say that this year's Anime Iowa is the best I've ever been to. Were you there when everyone was outside the doors to the grand ballroom waiting for the first dance, singing Bohemian Rhapsody? XD GOOD TIMES! Anyway- nice to meet another con-goer- I'm in the process of looking up pics from the convention. My name is shawn- drop by my nook if you'd like and feel free to chat.

The thing about them is that they each had a seperate unique charm. The first night might not have lasted as long, but everyone was psyched and there were more people busting out dancing individually finding their own seperate style. I really enjoyed the circle that formed that first night; I got to do a little bit of faux break dancing. :3 The first night people exhausted themselves. The second night seemed more rave-like to me. The music was more underground and I liked the sound better, but people weren't as keen to bust out into their own styles. The DJ was more involved the second night- and more charismatic. And the best part of the convention for me was after the second dance, going out to the lobby exhausted and talking with Laufoo and 03 and Emy and Lisa and other people for three hours. The really crazy people were out in those wee hours... and the really drunk. But I had so much fun because after so much fun, I got to relax and just have some quality human time talking.

It's a semi-strange question... but what kind(s) of music do you like? The reason I'm asking- one of my friends just joined a new band for him this week and there's going to be a gig up in Des Moines on Friday. The sound is old fashioned heavy metal oddly reminiscent of King Diamond. Of course I'm not shy about promoting a little- if it's not your kind of music you don't need to worry about it.
